Marco's Bath
In a city apartment that underwent a complete renovation, the guest bathroom is distinguished by the wall behind the washbasin, crafted in hand-worked resin using a variety of tools; featuring marks and textures reminiscent of ancient stone carvings. Copper powder was mixed into the liquid resin, creating colored veins that decorate the surface.
A large circular backlit mirror and a round niche add originality while serving a practical function for storage and display.
Lighting in the washbasin area is provided by plaster cylinders suspended from the ceiling, also finished in resin, casting focused beams of light.
Location: Nova Milanese (MB). Italy
The wall-mounted cabinet supporting the ceramic washbasin features a single large drawer—spacious and practical—in a light, matte lacquered finish.
For the countertop, natural-stained rosewood was chosen, a material with a striking color and grain, to create a contrast with the dark resin that dominates the wall.
