In a city apartment that underwent a complete renovation, the main bathroom was designed to include, on one side, a space for the washbasin and sanitary fixtures, and on the other, an area dedicated to wellness and body care, featuring a bathtub and a shower.

The shapes and volumes form a single continuous whole, crafted in the workshop using a CNC machine that carved blocks of Gasbeton, which were then transported to the site and assembled to create the final design.

The surface of this space and of the entire bathroom is made of hydrophobic resin, entirely handcrafted through multiple stages to achieve a textured, natural effect reminiscent of irregular stone weathered by the elements.

Location: Nova Milanese (MB). Italy

The washbasin and its surrounding space form the focal point of the bathroom, it’s where most of the time is spent. The illuminated niche running along the entire wall keeps everyday items and products within easy reach, while the large suspended drawer beneath the washbasin countertop offers ample additional storage.

In the lighting design, we used only linear LED strips in a warm tone, which emphasize the shapes and volumes of the body care area, inviting use of the space, providing illumination without glare.

To create a custom-designed project, one often has to go beyond standard products; for the shower enclosure, a sheet of extra-clear tempered glass was thermoformed to precisely follow the curved, sculpted lines of the false ceiling.
