Tutto Tondo

The project involved the creation of a bathroom in an attic space, already strongly characterized by a larch wood ceiling with exposed beams; a room with private access from the master bedroom.

The clients asked us for a functional, comfortable space with ample storage, but above all, one with a strong, distinctive style and identity.

We decided to embrace the circle, a perfect shape with neither beginning nor end, symbolizing continuity and infinity.
So we opted for round porthole windows instead of traditional ones, chose soft, rounded sanitary fixtures, crafted wooden accessories, and designed wall niches that seem to roll across the resin-coated surfaces.

Location: Lentate sul Seveso (MB). Italy

Resin is a waterproof and hypoallergenic material that creates continuous, seamless surfaces and can take on infinite colors and finishes.

Here, it covers and shapes every form and volume, flowing into the shower area to define the seat and shelves.

In an attic space, it is always challenging to choose an appropriate lighting solution due to the walls of varying heights.

Our goal was to avoid the annoying glare effect from any point in the room, so we used warm LED strips along the roof beams, “hidden” by slats to make them “invisible.”

The contrast between the fluid, continuous resin and the “vitality” of the wood grain in the ceiling is echoed in the countertop of the cabinet supporting the washbasin: a single oak shelf, 8 cm thick.

The storage units are also made of wood, stained in a soft shade of green to prevent the wood from becoming overwhelming.
