Milano Marrakech

Our clients were very clear: they asked us to create a bathroom that would feel like a teleporter; upon crossing the threshold, they wanted to be immersed in the timeless charm of Marrakech — all while remaining in Milan.

So we designed a space that blends the shapes, functions, habits, and typical elements of the traditional Italian bathroom with those of Moroccan culture.

The result is a perfect identity synthesis of the two cultures: rationality and comfort on one side; materials, color, style, and decorations on the other. All of this comes together in a refined and welcoming space, complete with a hammam for body care and relaxation.

Location: Milan, Italy

Light plays a key role: during the day, sunlight filters in from above through glass blocks; at night, LED lights that change intensity with the flow of water ensure a sensory and relaxing experience.

The hammam, the heart of this space, embodies a wellness ritual inspired by Moroccan tradition.

The shower, the bathtub with its seat, the niches, and every other form were shaped and handcrafted by a master artisan using Tadelakt, the traditional Moroccan plaster, with a color that shifts as if it were living matter.

Here, everything is Morocco: the door and antique furnishings salvaged from an old house in Marrakech, a hand-carved bas-relief panel, the fabrics, the lamps, and various decorative objects.
